The greatest gift a father can give his daughter is the chance to see herself through his eyes.
There are things only a father can tell his daughter. I’ll help you say them, in a one-of-a-kind book, written in your voice, for her.

Why It Matters
It all started with two books I wrote for my daughters, Taylor and Riley.
Taylor and Riley had reached the age where they could really hear it all, and I wanted them to know the stories I hadn’t told them yet. Where our family comes from. The things I believe now that I didn’t understand when I was younger. What 27 years (and counting) of being married to their mom has taught me. The perspective I’ve gained from being a father of daughters. And I wanted them to have something they could return to at every stage of their lives.
What I didn’t expect was how much writing their books would change me. It made me think deeply about what it means to be their dad, and what I see and feel when I look at them. Nothing I have accomplished, personally or professionally, comes close.
Being their dad wins.
I know how deeply a dad can love his daughter. I also know how hard it is to put that into words, and how much it matters when he does. Helping people find those words has been the thread running through my whole career. I’ve written three books, given a TEDx talk, and spent years leading peer forums where men talk honestly about what’s really going on in their lives.
Outside of spending time with Taylor and Riley, I can’t imagine a greater joy than helping other fathers do this for their daughters. It’s the most meaningful work of my life.

How It Works
You don’t have to know what to say. I know what to ask.
I learn your voice.
How you talk. How you tell a story. How you give advice. Your sense of humor. The phrases she’d recognize anywhere. What you’re excited to say, and what you’d never say in a million years.
That’s our entire first conversation. By the end of it, you’ll understand the level of care that goes into her book, and you’ll have your writing style guide, a written summary of how you sound.
Because the goal isn’t to make you sound like a writer.
The goal is to make the writing sound like you.
Then we talk.
Over 7 to 10 one-on-one conversations, about an hour each, I guide you through the parts of your life, and hers, that matter most. The day she was born. Her childhood. What she’s taught you. Love, work, friendship, family, and what you believe. The people who shaped you. The moments that changed you.
The best stories live in the next question. You might tell me about the day she finally rode a bike without you holding on. I’ll ask what it felt like the moment you let go of the seat. Because that was never really a story about her riding a bike.
You don’t need to have your life story organized. You don’t need to know what belongs in the book.
That’s my job.
Your voice takes shape.
I use AI to help organize everything you’ve shared and build it into chapters. Then I go through every page to make sure it sounds like you, not like a computer and not like me.
You decide what goes in. Read each chapter as it’s ready, a few at a time, or all at once. Your call.
Nothing goes to print until you say it’s right.
Those conversations become her book.
I shape everything you’ve shared into a hardcover book, written and designed for exactly one person in the world.
Most books take three to four months from our first conversation to the hardcover in your hands, depending mostly on how fast we can get on each other’s calendars. Then you get to give it to her.
The kind of book where she reads a line, laughs, and says,
“That is SO Dad.”
“Of all the decisions you’re going to make in your life, I believe one of them stands above all the others.
Who you choose to do life with.
I don’t say that lightly. Where you live matters. What you do for work matters. The friends you surround yourself with matters. How you take care of yourself, what you believe, and how you spend your time all matter. But the person you choose to build a life with touches almost every one of those things. And when I think about love, romance, marriage, and partnership, I can’t help but start with the story of how I met your mom. Because it’s a pretty damn good story. It was 1996 and I was…”
Every dad has pages like this in him. Most of them never get written down.
She deserves to read yours.
Start the Conversation
Every book begins with a conversation.
I want to understand why this matters to you and what you hope your daughter will feel when she reads it. Because I personally guide and interview every father, I only work with a few at a time, and I want to be sure we’re the right fit for each other.
Every book is a private commission, shaped around one father and his daughter.
Have more than one daughter? Each one gets her own book, with a chapter written just for her, and we’ll plan the commission around your family. We’ll talk through all of it in our first conversation.
If this feels like something you need to do for your daughter, I’d love to hear from you.
Thank you.
I’m looking forward to reading what you wrote, and I’ll be in touch shortly to set up our first conversation.
